A bit about the co-chairs:
Katherine Scott is the Senior Manager of Prospect Research at the Canadian Red Cross. She has been working in the field for a decade, first with Médecins Sans Frontières, then as an independent consultant for more than a dozen charitable organizations, before joining the Canadian Red Cross. She is a passionate advocate for prospect research in non-profit organizations and an active member of both Apra and Apra Canada where she serves at Director of External Relations. Katherine completed her Master of Arts in Political Science and International at the University of Guelph and her Master of Information at the University of Toronto.
Originally from Northern Ontario, Katherine lives in Toronto with her spouse and three children. She feels privileged to work with smart and inspiring people who are dedicated to making the world a better place!
Crystal Leochko Johnston is the Founder & Principal of Eclipse Research Group, a prospect research consulting company based in Winnipeg, Manitoba. She began the company in 2015. In 2009 she began her prospect research career at St. John’s-Ravenscourt School in Winnipeg. Prior to becoming a prospect researcher she worked for The Manitoba Securities Commission for six years. She earned her Masters of Arts from the University of Manitoba in History in 2009. Today she enjoys using her love of research to assist non-profits of all sizes.
Crystal is a member of Apra Canada and AFP Manitoba. She was formerly the Chair of Programming for the 2016 Apra Canada Conference and in 2014 was the Co-Chair of Programming for the Conference.
When she’s not tied to her laptop, Crystal enjoys camping, gardening and yoga. She is also a mom to two busy little girls. She sits on their school’s parent advisory committee and is also a Board Member for Rossdale Ukrainian Dance School.
