The Senior Specialist, Research Services provides responsive, accurate, precise donor intelligence and information that informs the decision-making of fundraisers so that a desired plan of action is confirmed; and identifies prospects whose connections, interest, capacity or philanthropic inclination predispose them to support hospital fundraising priorities.
The Development Officer, Research & Prospect Management will work primarily with the individual giving team, while also supporting corporate and event fundraising channels in the identification and management of new potential supporters. You will research, prepare, and provide profiles and reports, both in-depth and otherwise, on potential and identified major gift and corporate prospects including individuals, foundations, and corporations. Using current research methods, you will aim to increase financial support by identifying potential donors or audiences and by augmenting existing data.

Reporting to the Executive Director, as a member of the Advancement CRM instance project team, the Senior Technical Writer role develops business/technical documentation, communications materials, and coordinates training and knowledge transfer activities to support an effective and timely implementation of the CRM project. The role ensures accuracy, consistency, and efficiency of business/technical documentation and drafts communications materials including those for the website and preparing community presentations. The role works closely with subject matter experts (SME's) assigned to the project, the wider York University community, and service providers to ensure accurate and relevant content.

Central to this role is the coordination, analysis, and use of fundraising data to support strategies of the Victoria Hospitals Foundation. Task management will be key as this position, within the fundraising operations portfolio, will work cross-departmentally with all teams in the organization.
