Barbara Fanning is the Director of Prospect Research at the Canadian Cancer Society. She is on the cusp of achieving 30 years of experience leading fundraising research programs at healthcare, cultural and educational non-profit organizations.
A professional librarian, Barbara was the first Canadian researcher to be elected to the board of Apra International, where she served six years. She chaired the 2004 Apra International Conference and is a founding member of Apra Canada, a vital peer network. In 2007, Barbara was honoured to receive the Apra International Distinguished Service Award. Barbara obtained her MBA from the Richard Ivey School of Business in 2014.
Barbara has been a supporter and enthusiastic volunteer of the Toronto Wildlife Centre since 2014. She became a member of the board of directors in 2016, and chairs the capital campaign committee.
