DoGood Funding sources and writes grant proposals, and offers training & consulting services, for organizations of all sizes throughout Canada, including non-profits, for-profits and registered charities!

We are seeking a Prospect Researcher to support all aspects of our research division and DoGood Grants Database for our business. 

The work will take place at the EDGE Co-working space within Sheridan College’s Hazel McCallion Campus.

Reporting to the Founder and General Manager, the successful candidate will provide hands-on and timely support as follows:

Responsibilities

  • Overseeing the DoGood Grant Portal
  • Keeping database records updated
  • Providing customer service for database entries
  • Adding new data to the database records system
  • Supporting the sales team in selling new database subscriptions
  • Supporting the marketing team in promoting the DoGood Grant Portal
  • Supporting the finance team in billing users for database subscriptions
  • Maintaining an accurate and updated list of database users and subscription terms
  • Troubleshooting the technical issues associated with the database
  • Registering new users, and supporting existing users with login and password issues
  • Assisting with determining eligibility and mandatory documentation required for grant applications.
  • Attending quarterly team meetings within the Greater Toronto Area for planning and leadership development, at the expense of DoGood Fundraising. 
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Familiarity with the Canadian nonprofit and charitable sector, grant-writing and fundraising.
  • Passionate about supporting the fulfillment process in making a positive impact
  • Time management and prioritization skills.
  • Any experience in project management is preferred
  • Good writing, editing, research and communication skills preferred
  • Strong communication skills, and an excellent command of the English language.
  • required: Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.                                                                                       
  • Experience with any of the following is an asset: AirTable, Google Suite, Canva and Hubspot CRM.
  • Reliability and professionalism when communicating with staff and clients.

Compensation and Benefits:

The annual prorated salary for this position is $32 to $38 per hour plus the opportunity to participate in a bonus share pool. Benefits include:
