About the Role
We are seeking a strategic and analytical professional to join our team as the Manager, Development Analytics & Research. In this critical role, you will ensure the effective operation and optimization of our fundraising systems and development databases. Your expertise will drive accurate donor intelligence and data-informed decision-making that supports fundraising success across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide subject matter expertise on fundraising data governance to support the development and maintenance of high-quality data, with a focus on data structure, hygiene, definitions, usage, enhancement, and integration.
  • Maintain accurate and reliable data to support fundraising, events and donor engagement activities. Support data users in managing data quality, addressing errors and defects, andresolving data integrity issues.
  • Lead data integration efforts across fundraising platforms to improve data consistency andstreamline data entry and automation into relevant systems.
  • Lead and execute prospect and pipeline management for the Development team in support ofthe fundraising goals of the RHF.
  • Collaborate with the Development, Finance, Communication, and Program teams to ensure proper database segmentation for fundraising campaigns and initiatives, leveraging data prospects and insights to inform strategy and optimize fundraising.
  • Develop and maintain campaign data reports that enable actionable learning and growth, allowing leadership and fundraisers to make decisions on campaign-specific ROI and forecast models for revenue projections.
  • Lead the development and execution of the prospect research strategy, including overseeing the coordination and production of research on prospects and donors to support cultivation,solicitation, stewardship tracking, and prospect identification.
  • Lead a team of development coordinators focused on prospect and volunteer research,identification, and qualification, as well as prospect clearance and management to supportfundraising efforts. Build and maintain a strong pipeline of donors, volunteers, and program alumni to strengthen community engagement and support for the RHF.

Qualifications & Experience

  • A relevant post-secondary degree or a combination of relevant training, education and experience.
  • 5 years of experience in donor/development-related data analytics and research.
  • Experience leading, managing and motivating teams.
  • Fundraising experience in a sophisticated, complex and high-activity charitable/non-profit environment.
  • Experience with and/or knowledge of First Nations, Inuit and Metis communities an asset.

Core Competencies & Skills

  • Demonstrated knowledge and leadership in the areas of strategic data initiatives, including relationships with external vendors and partners.
  • Strong knowledge and experience with CRM and/or fundraising database management software.
  • Superior attention to detail, organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication and coaching skills; a positive, team-building approach with a strong client-service mindset.
  • Strong competency with Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive Salary: Hiring range of $80,000 - $92,000 depending on experience and qualifications.
