Session Description:
Our presentation will focus on several aspects of corporate and foundation research, including unique approaches used to identify corporate and foundation prospects at the University of Alberta. We will discuss a rating system for private and public corporations and foundations that has been developed as the result of a collaborative project between the Office of Prospect Research and the Corporate and Foundation Relations team at the University of Alberta. We will also discuss the development of an effective way to identify different funding opportunities for projects in a timely manner (Funding Alerts), some strategies used when presenting corporate and foundation information to frontline fundraisers, and some procedures and resources to identify corporate and foundation prospects for various projects.
