Shelly Steenhorst-Baker is the Director of Development, Prospect Research & Pipeline at the University of Calgary. At UofC, she leads an 11-person (and growing) team in prospect research and prospect management. Prior to joining UofC’s team in 2012, Shelly was the Manager, Research and Records at Carleton University. Shelly came to the nonprofit world following work as a lawyer. She has a Postgraduate Certificate in Fundraising and Volunteer Management from Humber College (2006), an LL.B. from the University of Ottawa (2002) and an Honours B.A. in Women’s Studies and Classical Studies from Trent University (1999). Shelly has spoken previously for APRA Canada webinars, at past APRA Canada Conference, at MARC Conference and, most recently, at CASE's District VII Conference (rated as a "Stellar Speaker").
