Michelle is on the board of directors of Toronto PFLAG, where she chairs the fundraising committee.  In 2016 after her son came out she found that there wasn’t programming for LGBTQ tweens in Toronto. She approached Skylark Youth Services and pitched the idea of a free drop-in program for LGBTQ tweens and their allies.  Michelle and her husband fundraised the funds for the program. The tween program has been running for a year. 30 to 40 youth attend each week.
