Margaret Evans is the founder of GiveGoed, bringing 17 years in nonprofit CRM, data governance, and recurring giving strategy to the practice. She spent 13 years at SickKids Foundation in Toronto, the last seven as Associate Director of Business Applications & Data Management. Her expertise spans strategic fundraising discussions as well as the operational and security considerations behind them, from CRM strategy and payments operations to data governance and major-incident response. Her hands-on admin experience across Salesforce and Blackbaud gives her a practical read on user-experience friction, building solutions that meet staff where they are, rather than requiring them to bend their practices to fit the technology.
In preparation for her relocation to the Netherlands, her research surfaced blind spots in her own expertise: years of deep Canadian fundraising knowledge that had quietly mistaken one country's version of the practice for the whole picture. GiveGoed now connects nonprofit teams to the shared data literacy and data governance practices that improve collaboration across departments and even across borders, broadening Canadian non-profits' unrestricted portfolios, and bringing Dutch organizations access to Canadian major-giving expertise to build resilience alongside their broad base.
