Lauren Burgess has been the Associate Director, Prospect Research & Pipeline Development at the University of Waterloo for more than 10 years. With her team of 5, they provide prospect research and prospect management services to 6 Faculties, 4 professional schools, 3+ non-academic units and 4 affiliated University Colleges. Prior to joining Waterloo, she worked as a Prospect Researcher for The Shaw Festival (Niagara-on-the-Lake, ON), and the Stratford Festival (Stratford, ON). Lauren has been an Apra Canada member for over 20 years; briefly served on the Apra Canada Board (completing the term of another member); and has been an active volunteer for a number of Apra Canada Conferences. She also serves on the Waterloo Paddling Club Board and the management Committee of KidSport Kitchener-Waterloo. Lauren has a BA, Art History from Carleton University and an MLIS from Western.
