Joanne Souaid graduated from McGill and pursued a career in business where she honed her marketing and accounting skills as Chief Financial Controller of a wholesale business in Montreal. After, she worked in Toronto for TVOntario in sales and marketing. She also volunteered as host for their on-air pledge drives. Her years of experience led to her role as Chief Stewardship Officer and on-air spokesperson for TVOntario. With her promotion to Senior Development Officer came all direct mail, online, telemarketing, on-air, and major gift fundraising activities.
Joanne shifted her fundraising efforts to the health sector as Development Officer for the Alzheimer Society and, later, as Fundraising Manager for The Kidney Foundation.
Joanne has managed the University of Ottawa’s Research Department since 2009 where she has developed a Prospect Rating System for her team of Researchers.
