Learn how McGill's University Advancement overhauled their prospecting and qualification operations, transforming an old system rife with misallocation of resources and bottlenecks, into an efficient structure by: aligning data with operations, the use of an "Assignment Decision Tree" for the deployment of potential prospects, and the use of a qualification form as an essential pipeline filter. Learn also about the next steps undertaken in a new initiative aimed at including all of University Advancement in the discovery of new leads and how this further supports the aim of creating and maintaining clear and distinct pools.

Speaker Bio:

Glenda Garcia joined McGill's University Advancement (UA) in 2007 as a Major Gifts Researcher. In her current role as a Prospecting and Pipeline Management officer, she oversees prospecting and data mining activities, spearheads information gathering projects and works closely with systems, developing reports and procedures to better serve the UA community. In 2013, she began a complete review and overhaul of the prospecting and qualification operations, which has resulted in the streamlining of processes and in greater transparency of the prospect pool.
