About the Presenter
Tracey Carmichael is Associate Director, Research at the University of British Columbia where she leads a team of 11 researchers responsible for prospect research, data analytics, and strategic analysis to support decision-making in development and alumni engagement. She earned her MLIS degree from McGill and worked as a law librarian for eight years before joining the BC Securities Commission as a researcher, then knowledge manager until 2009. Tracey was responsible for ensuring that market participants, investors and staff had access to high quality, usable information through management of research services, websites, public information services and investor complaint intake. Before joining UBC, Tracey led online initiatives for the Human Security Report Project.
